Manchester Art Gallery, September 2022 - March 2023

In the second exhibition, we revealed how we had developed Uncertain Futures and what we found initially from our research. The project continued as the 100 interviews were analysed by our research team, who met regularly in the gallery, sometimes even in the exhibition space itself. In this information dense presentation to the public, we featured an extensive timeline of events and accomplishments, and a deconstruction of our research methodology. A large photo of the women attending the dinner party sat opposite the Ford Madox Brown painting Work, repositioned for this second iteration. The interview booth stayed intact with a separate window constructed into its face. One window displayed the text/audio work from the first exhibition, and the new window screened a film collage of women at the dinner event. Inside the booth the complete archive of 100 interviews was displayed along with an installation of our research methodology.
